Project Description

Park Royal Shopping Centre is refers to itself as “The World’s Largest Community Centre”. In metro Vancouver, shoppers visit malls at an average of 1.47 times/month. At Park Royal, it’s an average of 6.7 times/month for a total of about 15 million annual visits.

The expanding and renovating plan will create about 432 new and reconfigured retail space. The project also consists of adding two and a half levels of parkade (approximately 200,000 square feet ), creating 432 new stalls. The north facing parkade elevation will be screened with individual glass panels mounted proud of the structure, allowing for daylight and natural ventilation. Building walls and storefronts will be expressed individually from a palette of metal panel, brick, stucco, stone, tiles and varying styles of glazing, framing and entry doors. Overhead weather protection is provided by steel/glass canopies and fabric awnings.
